Drone World Expo to Feature 50% More Speakers Including Representatives from Facebook, Southern California Edison, UK Civil Aviation Authority and Dow AgroSciences

SAN JOSE – In two weeks, Drone World Expo will bring together thousands of commercial drone professionals to see products and services on an expansive show floor and hear from 120 thought leaders and industry experts. The trade show and conference will take place at the San Jose Convention Center from Tuesday, November 15 – Wednesday, November 16, with pre-event education programs scheduled for Monday, November 14.

Thought leaders who have most recently been added to the program include David Yang from Facebook; Jeffrey Billingsley and Frank Bingham from Southern California Edison, Tim Johnson from the UK Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), Olivier Gil from Graniterock, Rick Joest from Dow AgroSciences; Terah Lyons from the White House Office of Science & Technology Policy; Danny Royer from Bowles Farming Company; Jake Saper from Emergence Capital; Trent Sieverding from Wendling Quarries, and Michael Clark of the UK Department for Transport (DfT). Nearly 3,000 attendees have already registered to attend the event representing companies and organizations including Bechtel Infrastructure, Bell Fuels, Inc., COMANCO Environmental Corporation, Department of Homeland Security, Driscoll’s, Exxon Mobil Corporation, General Motors, Goodland Global Farm, Inc., Kaiser Permanente, Maui Police Department, Missouri Agribusiness Association, Perkins+Will, Red Cross of Silicon Valley, Sun Petrochemicals, SunPower, Turner Construction, and the U.S. Postal Service.

In addition, dozens of California-based organizations will be in attendance including the California Departments of Fish & Wildlife, Transportation, Water Resources, Corrections & Rehabilitation, Governor’s Office of Emergency Services, city representatives from Fort Bragg, Hayward, Hollister, Mountain View, Oakland, Pleasanton, San Diego, San Francisco, San Leandro, San Jose, Santa Clara and Watsonville, and many police, fire and search and rescue departments across the region and nationwide.
